In early 2016, Winston acquired the manufacturing plant located in Mount Wellington, Auckland from Danone-Nutricia*. The plant was purpose built to produce renowned New Zealand infant formula powder brand Karicare*. It has gained widespread acclaim for its high standards of manufacturing, a reputation which continues to this day with the installation of advanced new processing technology. Winston Nutritional continues to invest in its capability, including its research and development capability and features a world-class scientific team. In 2019 the company secured approval to manufacture infant formula for China, under GAC authority.
