New zealand Dairy

Dairy Sector

New Zealand, well known for its pure environment and remote location, is regarded by consumers and buyers as the world’s leading producer of premium dairy products.

New Zealand dairy cows, unlike those in many industrialized nations, spend more time outdoors enjoying grass and fresh air. Healthy cows that are treated humanely produce superior milk that is more nutritious and better tasting.

New Zealand also has a high standard for cow welfare. Every year, farmers and dairy co-ops are independently assessed. Environmental standards are checked, animal welfare is observed, and food safety are measured.

Finally, high-quality dairy products are just one part of our New Zealand agricultural heritage. Since the late 1800s, dairy has been one of the principal exports of New Zealand – and today, the demand for high quality New Zealand Dairy products results in the export of nearly 95% of all dairy production in our country!
